How does Clara work?
Clara is a watercolor artist who calls your mom every day at a scheduled time. She has a warm, friendly conversation, then paints a watercolor postcard from what they talked about and sends it to your inbox.
Is Clara a monitoring service?
No. Clara checks in — she doesn't watch. There are no cameras, no tracking, no health scores. Just a friendly daily call, like a caring neighbor checking in.
Does my mom know it's AI?
Clara introduces herself at the start of every call. We believe your parent deserves to know — and in our experience, they don't mind. They enjoy the conversation.
What if my parent doesn't answer?
Clara tries twice, waiting 15-30 minutes between attempts. If she can't get through after two tries, you'll get an email letting you know. Clara does not continue calling outside the schedule or attempt to reach emergency services.
Can my parent opt out?
Yes. Your parent's autonomy is our priority. If they ask Clara to stop calling, we pause the service immediately and notify you.
How does consent work?
After you sign up, you share a consent link with your parent. They're introduced to Clara, then receive a brief phone call to confirm their consent. Calls don't start until they say yes — there are no calls without their permission.
What if my parent says something urgent?
Clara is not an emergency or medical service. She doesn't monitor for health events or assess wellness. You'll receive a summary of each call so you can stay in the loop. If anything feels urgent, the right step is always to call or visit your loved one directly.
Can I change the call time?
Yes. You can change the call time, which days Clara calls, and the calling window through your dashboard at any time.
What topics does Clara talk about?
Clara follows your parent's lead, asking about their day, interests, and how they're feeling. You can set preferred topics (like grandkids or gardening) and topics to avoid. Clara keeps conversations general and natural — she doesn't ask investigative or monitoring questions.
How do I cancel?
You can cancel anytime from your dashboard. Cancellation is immediate — calls stop right away and you receive a prorated refund. Your data is automatically deleted within 30 days after cancellation.
Is my parent's data secure?
Yes. Call transcripts and recordings are automatically deleted after 14 days. Summaries are kept while your account is active. We never sell data to third parties. We do not train AI models on your call content.
